Sharrow Marine is known for developing the Sharrow Propeller™, a patented design that challenged long-standing assumptions in marine propulsion. As the company moved from engineering breakthrough to broader market visibility, the brand needed to communicate its value with greater clarity and confidence.

I worked with Sharrow Marine to help translate a highly technical product into a more accessible and compelling brand narrative. The focus was not only on how the technology performed, but on how it should be understood, positioned, and experienced across the business.

The Challenge

The product was innovative, but the story around it needed to work harder. Much of the value lived in engineering language, making it harder for broader audiences to immediately grasp what made the technology different and why it mattered. The challenge was to create a stronger bridge between product innovation and market perception, helping the company present itself as both technically advanced and premium in its category.

The Approach

The work centered on clarifying the brand story and building a more cohesive communication framework around the product. This included shaping messaging, refining the visual direction, and developing materials that could better support sales, marketing, and broader brand recognition.

Rather than treating the work as a traditional branding exercise, the goal was to align product, perception, and communication into a more unified system.

Outcome

The result was a clearer and more elevated brand presence that helped position Sharrow Marine for continued growth. By making the innovation easier to understand and more compelling to engage with, the work supported a stronger market-facing identity around a category-defining product.
