Patrick Thornton

Creative Director · Brand Strategist · Head of Creative

Find the truth inside the business. Build the brand around it.

Patrick Thornton is a senior creative and brand leader with 15 years of operating experience across advertising, global manufacturing, consumer culture, and entrepreneurship. He has led creative and marketing organizations from the inside — running teams, owning strategy, managing budgets, and driving the kind of cross-functional alignment that turns creative vision into measurable business growth.

His career spans both sides of the table. He has worked inside global companies as a director and executive, and independently as a creative partner to founders and leadership teams. What has stayed consistent across every role is the approach: get to the truth of the business, build the brand around it, and execute with the systems and leadership to make it last.

At Friant Workspace, he led a full brand transformation and B2B-to-B2C expansion — rebuilding the brand, leading product development, launching e-commerce and digital tools, and growing monthly site traffic from 2,000 to 45,000+. Responsible for brand perception shift that transformed the company into a total solution and major industry player.

At MASH Studios, he directed marketing and commercial production for a company whose work reached Nike, Chanel, Google, Goop, and Uber — and drove $50M+ in custom manufacturing programs through integrated brand campaigns and new business development. Earlier in his career, he built and led creative at TMV Advertising, where campaigns he directed won Best of Show at The D Show and delivered measurable membership growth for major healthcare clients.

He is the founder of CitrusMelon, a New York-based creative studio, and serves on the board of Born and Raised Detroit — a nationally operating youth nonprofit with over $1M donated to Metro Detroit youth programs across 20 years.
